BIRN manufactures precision cast iron components for OEM customers across industries including commercial vehicles, construction equipment, hydraulics, transmission systems and industrial machinery. The company offers design support, casting, machining, surface treatment and assembly from one integrated production site.
BIRN produces both grey iron (GJL) and ductile iron (GJS/SG iron). Components can be manufactured with or without cores in medium to high production volumes.
BIRN has an annual casting capacity of approximately 45,000 tonnes. Production takes place on five fully automatic DISAMATIC moulding lines designed for efficient, high-volume manufacturing with consistent quality.
BIRN manufactures castings weighing from 200 grams up to 40 kilograms. Components are produced in mould sizes ranging from 480 × 600 mm to 700 × 950 mm depending on the application.
Yes. BIRN provides advanced CNC machining in-house using more than 40 automated machining centres and turning lathes. This allows customers to receive ready-to-assemble cast iron components from a single supplier.
BIRN employs approximately 550 people in Holstebro. Across the BIRN Group, around 750 employees work in Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Italy.
